Rob Lang

Rob Lang is a New York photographer who specializes in landscapes, portrait, lifestyle and nature photography. Living in the Hamptons for over 15 years, with its natural beauty as well as numbers of boatyards, Rob began his abstract series of Boat Hulls extracting phenomenal pictures from their worm surfaces. The Hidden Voyage Series is about transformation, transition and the beauty of the weathered objects. Pictorial kin to abstract expressionism, Lang introduces a sensitive awareness of color into his images that are more likely to surrender to their abstract evocations and that create a painterly feel. His limited edition fine art photographs (available in larger sizes upon request) can be found in the collection of the International Center of Photography in New York City and corporate and private collections in the U.S. and Europe.
